About Jacka Park

Inclusive Playground at Jacka Park

Jacka Park has an inclusive playground upgraded in 2022 that is designed for children from toddlers to older kids. The playground has three separate play areas: a toddler zone with two bouncy rides, a swing and hands-on play parts; a junior and senior themed structure; and a nature-themed preschool structure with climbing parts and a slide. The play equipment includes a spinning carousel, a pod swing, standard and baby swings, a metal climbing structure and sandstone boulders for climbing. The play structure is inspired by local history and the flora and fauna that once flourished in the area.

Picnic, BBQ and Seating Areas at Jacka Park

Jacka Park provides BBQ areas and picnic spots for groups and family gatherings. Picnic tables and sitting areas are spread through the park, and shaded benches offer places to rest. A sandstone wall that runs around the park gives plenty of extra seating. The park is regarded as a popular meeting spot and a great venue for children's parties and picnics.

Shade and Open Grass at Jacka Park

Jacka Park has shade from trees across its grounds, and shade cloth covers the top of the main play area. The metal climbing structure has no shading of its own. Open grassed space gives children room to run around, and the playground uses a fake grass surface. Some areas of the park have no shade at all.
