About NearMe

NearMe is a free, independent directory of public parks and green spaces across Sydney and New South Wales. Our goal is simple: make it easy for families, dog owners, and outdoor enthusiasts to find the right park for their needs — with accurate, detailed information about what each park actually offers.

What we do

Each park listing in our directory includes confirmed amenity information: whether there is a fenced off-leash dog area, a children's playground, BBQ facilities, sports courts, toilets, and parking. We don't rely on user reviews or unverified submissions — our data is researched and regularly updated.

We currently cover parks across The Hills District of Greater Sydney, including Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, Norwest, and Winston Hills. We are actively expanding to cover all Sydney metro suburbs and, eventually, all of Australia.

Our data

Park location and boundary data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and the NSW Government open data portal. Amenity details are verified through council sources, on-ground research, and publicly available records. We update our listings regularly to reflect changes to facilities.
