Accessible Playground at Freshwater Beach Reserve
Freshwater Beach Reserve has an accessible playground that opened in November 2024, with a slide, monkey bars, swings, a spinner, a climbing area and sensory and musical play items. It has an underwater theme based on local Freshwater species, and shade sails cover the play area. A fence separates the play area from the busy roads nearby. A second playground at the southern end of the reserve opened in February 2026 with a toddler climbing frame, a double slide, a basket swing and a bouncy dune buggy rocker. Across both playgrounds there are 7 swings and 3 slides.
Picnic Shelters and BBQs at Freshwater Beach Reserve
Freshwater Beach Reserve has four picnic shelters, installed by June 2024, two along Moore Road and two near the beach playground. It also has two accessible BBQs, installed by July 2024, with new sandstone seating and grassed areas beside them. An accessible ramp and stairs and new pathways were completed in April 2024, and new softfall surfacing and improved pathways were added in the same stage of works.

Freshwater Beach Reserve is off Kooloora Avenue, Freshwater NSW 2096, beside Freshwater Beach. A car park serves the reserve, and its line markings were refreshed in September 2024.
