About Perry Park
Off-Leash Dog Area at Perry Park
Dogs can be off-leash in Perry Park at all times, but only on the paths and grass verges around the sports fields. The synthetic sports field itself is off limits to dogs. The park perimeter is fenced, but the off-leash area is not fenced off from the sports field, so owners should keep dogs well clear of the field. The off-leash zone covers the park's paths and grass verges across the park, and the same rule applies to every part of that zone. Owners should keep their dog within the designated zone at all times while walking across the park.
Synthetic Sports Field and Recreation Centre at Perry Park
Perry Park has a fenced synthetic sports field that sits alongside the Perry Park Recreation Centre, which holds four indoor multipurpose courts. The park is also the home of the Alexandria Basketball Stadium, so basketball is a main sport here. The City of Sydney describes the park as suitable for outdoor exercise and basketball. Players can use the synthetic field and the indoor courts in the same visit, since both are on the one site.
