About Hungry Point Reserve
Cliff Top Walk at Hungry Point Reserve
Hungry Point Reserve has an elevated cliff top boardwalk around the headland, a new addition to the popular Coastal Walk at Cronulla. The walk is an extension of the Esplanade pedestrian walkway to the headland, named the Frank Cridland Walkway, which was completed in December 2025. Sutherland Shire Council manages the open space and the cliff top walk, and the views reach across Port Hacking to Bundeena and Maianbar.
Heritage Fishery Buildings and Jetty at Hungry Point Reserve
The reserve was a commercial fish breeding site, and it still has former heritage-listed fishery buildings and a jetty. The site has state heritage significance, with both First Nations and European cultural value. Marine Rescue NSW has run its state headquarters and its Botany Port Hacking volunteer rescue unit from the reserve since 2013.
