About Pidding Park

Off-Leash Dog Area at Pidding Park

Pidding Park has a fully fenced off-leash dog area with chain-link fencing and two entrances, each with a single gate. Dogs can be off-leash in the area when the oval is not used for organised sport, and the dog area is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at those times. Owners must keep dogs under control, pick up after them and keep dogs 10 metres from bushland and playgrounds. Each carer can bring up to four dogs, digging is not allowed, and dogs must leave when council carries out scheduled maintenance. A filtered water station with a bottle refill spout and a dog bowl is in the dog area, and a green poo bag dispenser sits just inside the gate.

Playground and Cricket Pitch at Pidding Park

Pidding Park has a playground beside the Cressy Road car park, which is open to dog park visitors. The park's sports oval has a cricket pitch with an artificial turf surface, and the oval is used for organised sport. Dogs can only be off-leash when the oval is not used for organised sport, so the playground and the dog area share the park with sport games. Visitors who come to the playground can park in the Cressy Road car park or on the street along Pidding Road.

Toilets, Seating and Paths at Pidding Park

Pidding Park has public toilets on site, so visitors can use them without leaving the park. Metal benches and picnic tables sit around the park for visitors to rest and eat. Concrete paths run around the field, and they are wheelchair accessible, so people using wheelchairs or walkers can reach the edge of the field. The paths give a flat route from the car park to the playground and the dog area.
