Magdala Park has one large sportsfield that is used for soccer and two mini baseball fields. The City of Ryde lists the sportsfields as bookable online through its Bookable portal, so teams and clubs can reserve time on them in advance. The Magdala Park Masterplan, adopted by Ryde City Council on 24 August 2021, sets out the aim of making the park a sports hub for the City, with its sporting and recreational functions improved over the next 20 years.
Bush Walks and Tracks at Magdala Park
Magdala Park is part of a large bush corridor beside the Lane Cove River, and the park has walking paths through its bushland. Bush tracks from the park link into Lane Cove National Park, Buffalo Creek and Field of Mars Reserve, and a section of the historic Great North Walk runs through the park. The bushland is one of the best natural areas in Ryde, so walkers can follow the river and the park's edges on foot.
