About Glades Bay Park
Wulaba Track Boardwalk at Glades Bay Park
The Wulaba Track is a walkway that runs along the river's edge through Glades Bay Park, past the site of the former Glades Bay Baths to Bill Mitchell Park. The track is a boardwalk through the mangroves on the Parramatta River, and it has a number of interpretive signs along the way. Ryde Council first built the Wulaba Track in 2002, in consultation with the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council. The Wallumedegal, the original inhabitants of the area, have sites interpreted along the walkway.
Playground, Benches and Labyrinth at Glades Bay Park
Glades Bay Park has a playground for children, with benches along the nature walkway beside it. A book library also sits along the walkway. Under a massive old fig tree in the park is a small labyrinth, set apart from the boardwalk and the river's edge. The playground and the benches sit along the same walkway as the book library, so families can use all three in one stop.
