Newington Reserve has one full-size synthetic football field, fenced along the sidelines to 1 metre high, with ball screens up to 6 metres high behind the goals. The surface uses an organic timber-based infill in place of rubber, combined with dual-fibre turf whose dual yarn system helps control heat. LED flood lighting lets the field run for night matches and training. The field was built to replace publicly accessible sports fields lost at Wilson Park, Silverwater.

The Newington Reserve Pavilion is a new sports building that faces the field. It has home and away change rooms with integrated showers and toilets, public toilets, and a kiosk facing the field. The pavilion is designed as unisex and inclusive, with parent and child change spaces and official areas. The pavilion was built alongside the synthetic field as part of the reserve's upgrade, which the City of Parramatta funded with the NSW Office of Sport and Football NSW.
