About Anembo Reserve
Horse Riding Arena at Anembo Reserve
Anembo Reserve has a horse riding exercise arena that the Duffys Forest Residents Association upgraded after it had gone unmaintained, contaminated and covered in blackened sand. The rebuild gave the arena a new crushed sand stone base, a new sandstone boundary and a perimeter fence. Anembo Reserve reopened in 2011 after a large funding drive and many donations, with State Government support through Mr Rob Stokes, Member for Pittwater, and Community Building Partnership Grants. Donors' names appear on a sign at the arena entrance.
Walking Loop Track at Anembo Reserve
Anembo Reserve has a loop walking trail of roughly 1.6 miles with an easy grade, which takes about 0.5 to 1 hour to complete. The loop gives views of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Anembo Reserve also has a formed sandy track of about 2 km, and visitors use the track for horseback riding, walking and photography. The formed track's sandy surface is the reserve's main walking surface, and the loop can be completed in a single short outing.
Picnic Area and BBQs at Anembo Reserve
Anembo Reserve has a picnic area with BBQ seating, giving visitors a place to cook and eat outdoors. Picnic tables and BBQs are both available at the reserve, so a family can bring a full meal and cook on site.
