About Stringybark Reserve

Off-Leash Dog Area at Stringybark Reserve

Stringybark Reserve has an off-leash dog park with a large space for dogs to run. Dogs can run off-leash across most of the reserve, but not in the bushland or in the playground area, where they must stay on leash. Dog bowls sit beneath the public taps near the dog park, and dog-poop bag stations with bins are provided for owners. The off-leash space is a popular spot for dog owners because of its water bowls and the room it gives dogs to run.

The playground at Stringybark Reserve sits on the Murray Street side of the park and has a climbing area with a bridge, swings and a slippery dip. The climbing equipment suits older children and teens. Outdoor fitness equipment is also installed in the reserve for adults who want to exercise outdoors beside the playground and the bushland edge.

Bushwalks from Stringybark Reserve

The dirt track is steep in places, with a step onto a ramp section, so it is not recommended for wheelchairs or prams.
