War Memorial and Roll of Honour at Wal Buckingham Memorial Garden
The war memorial at Wal Buckingham Memorial Garden was restored in 2022 with funding from Hornsby Shire Council and a Community War Memorials Fund grant from the NSW Office for Veterans Affairs. Its plaques were relocated to five sandstone plinths along the memorial path, and a new plaque remembers soldiers who were lost and never returned. Granite cobble feature paving surrounds the memorial. The memorial was rededicated on 23 November 2022 at a ceremony organised by the Glenorie RSL subbranch.
Paths and Seating at Wal Buckingham Memorial Garden
Wal Buckingham Memorial Garden has a new pedestrian circuit path around the park, built in 2023. Two park seats were added in October 2023, and one picnic setting was refurbished in December 2025. The garden beds have been tidied and planted with new trees, shrubs and grasses, and a concrete mower strip with embedded uplighting runs along the fence.
