About Governor Phillip Park

Governor Phillip Park has a fully fenced playground with a slide, a small merry-go-round, a bird's nest swing, a fishnet tunnel, a tunnel and bridge, and in-built trampolines. Governor Phillip Park also has hidden metal sculptures to find, including a bat, lobster tail, crab and frog, plus one large lizard and three giant cicadas. The playground has a water play area that is switched on with a button, and a double flying fox sits just outside the enclosed playground. Mulch covers parts of the playground surface, so closed shoes are a good idea.

Governor Phillip Park has two electric barbecues in the larger park beside the playground, and a picnic shelter that was added in the second stage of works. Governor Phillip Park has toilets near the playground, and some shade from trees with a river breeze. Barbecues and shelters at the park are shared and first come, first served, so they cannot be reserved in advance.
