About Christison Park

Off-Leash Dog Area at Christison Park

Christison Park is the largest timed off-leash dog park in its municipality. Dogs may be unleashed from 3:30pm to 10:30am each day, while at all other times dogs must stay on a leash. Off-leash access does not apply during organised sports bookings. The overnight window gives dog owners early morning and evening access to the clifftop grounds.

Sports Fields and Courts at Christison Park

Sports at Christison Park centre on three fields used for rugby union, soccer and touch football, plus a hockey field numbered No. 4. One oval, No. 1, has floodlights for night training. The park also has three cricket practice wickets. Two multi-purpose courts in the north-west corner take netball and basketball, with line markings and goal posts. Those courts can be booked seven days a week between 7am and 9pm.

Outdoor Fitness Trail at Christison Park

Christison Park has five separate fitness stations along its northern boundary, set out as a trail-style exercise route. Among them, an interactive station offers cardio work with movable equipment, so users can vary their routine along the course. The trail runs along the edge of the park, making it a route for exercise sessions beyond the sports grounds. The movable equipment at the interactive station lets the workout be adjusted as fitness improves.
